Avery Harmon

Avery is a community planner with a master's degree in city and regional planning, specializing in community engagement and transportation planning. He discovered his interest in this field by realizing that his passion for architecture, policy, and the public realm intersected within the profession. Avery is motivated to address the damage caused by discriminatory land-use practices and to create an equitable future.

Avery has worked for over four years supporting transportation projects from Baltimore, Maryland to the Bay Area. He excels at developing and managing robust engagement efforts, facilitating communication between public agencies and impacted citizens, and applying a strategic mindset to his work.

During his graduate studies, Avery focused on real estate development and public-private partnerships. Now, as a Senior Associate Planner with CPC, he is thrilled to return to these topics and utilize his background in engagement, love of learning and research, and interest in the built environment to enhance the quality of life in the Bay Area.
